The richness of double-ageing in toasted oak

Planteray Rum Black Cask are annual limited-edition releases of expertly blended rums that are treated to Planteray’s unique double-ageing process in lightly toasted ex-Ferrand casks. Toasting – heating the interior of the cask with an open flame – caramelizes the sugars in the wood, imparting aromatic notes of vanilla, fruit and spice. Enjoy it neat or in a cocktail.

Black Cask

The 2023 Black Cask edition is a marriage of two elegant rums distilled in Barbados and Venezuela. First aged in their Caribbean terroirs, these rums cross the Atlantic for a second maturation in Planteray’s cellars in south-west of France. There the toasted French oak casks bring out intense pastry and citrus notes in these special rums.
